Its IT arm provides companies with the power to manipulate and engineer content on their sites and over the air, through its OnHand solutions. With its proprietary and template-based technology, its competitive edge is high functionality, quick time to completion and a full-fledged content publishing system.

Cgen content populates web sites with high quality contents, making these sites high impact, stickier and in turn generating more revenue. Cgen content is powered by its proprietary technology Dusty (Delivery Using Special Transfer Technology) and provides its clients with thin feeds, chosen from all its providers, and customised to each site. It also allows the delivery of free relevant headlines to clients who want to be hyperlinked to their favourite cgenerator articles.

It was incorporated in April 2000, with the help of four angels who are leaders in the fields of media, technology, and finance. It has also received investments from Compaq, which is powering the company's hardware. Later, it received funding from the National Science and Technology Board, a statutory board of the Government of Singapore, which promotes technology and Ginosko Management, a VC company based in Singapore. Cgenerator now has offices in Singapore and Malaysia and will set up a third in Hong Kong and Australia by the middle of next year.
